Providence Hospital Appoints Four New Members to its Board of Directors

.A.C.C.">Joseph A. Quash, M.D., F.A.C.C. is the Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab at Providence Hospital, and a Board Certified Cardiologist with Capital Cardiology Consultants P.C. He recently completed his term as the President Elect of the Medical and Dental Staff at Providence. During his service in the US Military, he received prestigious awards such as the U.S. Army Meritorious Service Medal, the US Army Commendation Medal, and the DeHaven Hinkson Award for outstanding achievement in the USA. Dr. Quash is a member of the National Medical Association, DC Medical Society, American Heart Association, the American Medical Association and he is an American College of Cardiology fellow. In the past he has served on the Providence Health Foundation Board as well as the Providence Medical Executive Committee. He is married to wife Eleanor Simmons, MD and has three children, Michelle, Linda and Joseph A. Quash, Jr, MD.

Derek Leebaert, D.Phil. is presently the Director and Partner of MAP AG’s North American Office, a leading management consulting firm which enables boards and CEO’s to align operations, people, and strategy for optimum execution. He is also a Professorial Lecturer at Georgetown University in Business Strategy, Technology Management and International Competitiveness. Mr. Leebaert holds a D.Phil. in economics from Oxford University, and was a Visiting Fellow at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, where he was a founding editor of the Journal of Policy Analysis and Management. He is also a founding editor of The International Economy, a specialized quarterly magazine covering global financial policy, economic trends, and international trade.
