Prostate Net Announces: Inaugural Fore! Informed Decisions Golf Outing

HACKENSACK, N.J., Aug. 31 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, Virgil H. Simons, Founder and President of The Prostate Net announced the organization will be conducting its inaugural golf outing to raise support for their mission of providing educational awareness, treatment and management option initiatives for prostate cancer patients and healthcare providers. The Fore! Informed Decisions Golf Outing will take place on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Sunningdale Country Club located in Scarsdale, NY. The outing welcomes all levels of players, men and women, with proceeds benefiting The Prostate Net.

The Fore! Informed Decisions Golf Outing offers an opportunity for prostate cancer survivors, spouses, friends, supporters, business professionals and community leaders to engage with national medical influentials for a day of fun and relaxation while raising money to support the programs and services The Prostate Net has been providing to prostate patients and their families nationally for the past 13 years. The golf format will also assist The Prostate Net in meeting its mission to provide credible and actionable information on prostate cancer using a synergistic and actionable blend of renowned cancer clinicians and researchers, cancer survivors and corporate supporters who will enable patients, their families and health professionals to partner in making the appropriate choices to assure the best chance for cure and retention of their quality of life.

The golf outing will follow a specially designed day-long medical education symposium that will be conducted at the NYU Kimmel Center on Tuesday, October 6, 2009, attracting patients/survivors and medical professionals from the Greater Metro Area (New York, Connecticut and New Jersey).
