Professional Healthcare Resources Celebrates 15 Year Anniversary

ANNANDALE, Va., April 1 /PRNewswire/ -- On April 1st, Professional Healthcare Resources celebrates 15 years of providing high quality care to patients in their homes. The company was started in 1994 by Eileen DeCesare as a nurse staffing agency, and has grown to an organization offering home health, hospice, and personal care services throughout Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia. The company has over 700 employees and eight branch locations.

Professional Healthcare has grown steadily since its founding. In 1998, the company opened its first home healthcare branch in Falls Church, VA. In 2000, the Washington DC branch opened its doors. Two new branches were added in Lanham, MD and Richmond, VA in 2003. In 2005, a Bethesda, MD branch was opened, and 2006 saw new branches in Norfolk and Roanoke, VA. The company acquired its newest branch in Baltimore, MD in 2007, adding hospice as an additional line of service.

Professional Healthcare is the largest independent home care agency in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Noted for its commitment to quality, the company has been named to the nationwide HomeCare Elite list in each of the three years the award has been given. The company's home health services received accreditation from the Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP) in 2007, and the hospice program was accredited by CHAP in 2008.
