Expansion announced in the fields of substance abuse and mental health, after over a decade of real world testing, and launch of a new podcast series.
(PRWEB) May 5, 2010 -- Procovery®, an innovative program that has delivered unprecedented outcomes in the fields of substance abuse and mental health, will begin a phased expansion in the coming months, after over a decade of ongoing and intensive testing, revision and quality improvement.
Release of a new Procovery podcast series highlighting program experiences and outcomes, as well as interviews with experts across the nation, discussing new ways of delivering services, innovative paths to healthcare reform and other timely and informative topics is already under way. Podcasts will soon be available for download from iTunes and are currently available for listening at www.procovery.com.
Available for free download is this week’s podcast, an interview with Dr. Phillip McClendon, former chair of the Missouri Mental Health Commission, who states “…I had a number of programs that came through and I always tried to pick the best ones to be involved in, and I saw immediately… this is a winner… I saw changed lives from it.”
In describing why there is such a critical need for Procovery, Procovery Institute co-founder Randy Stratt, JD, MIS, explained “There is an entire industry aimed at teaching skills to maximize use of our educational system—from study skills to testing preparation to school selection to learning centers. Shouldn’t there be a comparable industry to teach skills to navigate and maximize use of our much more complex healthcare system?”
A free teleseminar series will be offered in June 2010, more information available at www.procovery.com.
The Procovery program includes 8 principles for resilience in healing and 12 strategies for action. The Procovery Circle is a highly structured system for group training and support that crosses target populations and diverse service settings.
