Probiotic Action Responds to Article Answering Common Questions About Acne

On December 28, Probiotic Action issues a statement in response to an article on the causes of acne and the best ways to banish it.

The article from My Health News Daily listed some of the most well-known causes of acne breakouts, however the article added that the actual cause of acne is still not 100 percent known to dermatologists. While teens suffer from acne the most, the article reports that it is still surprisingly common among adults.

Acne breakouts start in the pores – or openings – of the skin. When we sweat, glands produce oil that comes out of our pores. According to the article if there is too much dead skin around the pores, or if too much oil is produced, an acne breakout can form. While dermatologists do not know exactly why too much oil is sometimes produced by sweat glands, the article states they do know that keeping your face free of dead skin can reduce acne. The article reports that light treatments for acne have risen in popularity over recent years. Also, people with acne need to remember that you can irritate your skin by washing it too often or scrubbing too hard with exfoliating creams.

Fernando Perez, a spokesperson for Probiotic Action, agreed with the information provided in the article. “Acne can be a difficult condition to deal with, both for patients and dermatologists,” he said. “Since there are various types of acne, it is important for people to consult dermatologists to determine the right course of action they should take towards fighting acne.”
