McLean, VA (PRWEB) September 17, 2009 -- Proactive Wellness Centers, PLC and its founder, Dr. Lynese Lawson, have launched a new way of communicating with men and women who are interested in understanding the latest thinking in scientifically-validated treatment to counter the effects of aging. Through her new blog, "Dr. Lawson's Anti-Aging Blog", Dr. Lawson promises to provide realistic approaches and strategies to achieving optimal health, balancing hormones, returning to higher energy levels, safe weight loss and avoiding chronic degenerative disease. The blog is targeted at those turning to the internet for information about hormone balancing, preventative medicine, functional medicine and the role of nutritional supplements in achieving optimal health.

The pillars of her practice, Proactive Wellness Centers, are Knowledge, Prevention and Rejuvenation. "An educated patient is our best patient", says Dr. Lawson. "Many of our patients have already read books and done research on the internet and have come to understand that aging is a treatable condition. Further, they understand that prevention is the new paradigm in medicine." Through her new blog, she hopes to expand the population of future patients who understand that knowledge is more than power, knowledge is health if one applies that knowledge and seeks individualized care from physicians practicing in the new paradigm.

Dr. Lawson's Anti-Aging Blog will act as one of today's voices for preventive medicine. "It gives us a new channel that operates at today's speed to communicate with our current and future patients and the public at large," sa
