Evansville, IN (PRWEB) April 23, 2013
ProRehab, a private physical and occupational therapy practice, is proud to announce its recent partnership with the global non-profit organization, Soaringwords. Soaringwords’ mission is to lessen the impact of serious illness by connecting ill children and their families to a community of compassionate and caring volunteers. ProRehab joined forces with the non-profit organization to help inspire local children and their families to heal and “Never give up!”
The inspiration for the children and their families was delivered in the form of quilts and pillows; decorated with messages of motivation, love, and encouragement. ProRehab staff members and patients decorated more than 60 red and white patchwork quilts and pillows that will be delivered to young patients at Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
“We truly enjoyed working with our patients to decorate these beautiful quilts and pillows with inspirational messages,” says Andrea Baumann, PT, ProRehab owner. “While we help heal patients every day; we are so honored to be a part of a community effort to provide warmth, love, and compassion to children we wouldn’t normally see in our clinics.”
Through both hospital and educational outreach programs, Soaringwords has reached more than 250,000 children and adults, schools in 30 states, and more than 100 hospitals. To learn more about the organization please visit soaringwords.org.
