Southern California film studio and Final Cut Pro X plugin developer, Pixel Film Studios, released ProRain™, a professional rain effects plugin for Apple Final Cut Pro X, today.
"ProRain allows you to control the weather with the click of a mouse in Final Cut Pro X" said Christina Austin, CEO of Pixel Film Studios. "We are really excited about this plugin. There's nothing out there like this for FCPX."
With 25 unique rain composites to choose from, users can take their footage anywhere from a light drizzle to a tropical rain forest in the push of a button. ProRain™ contains no digitally generated images. All 25 of the rain effects were created with real rain footage.
ProRain™ contains 30 overcast color grades which allows users to make their footage look anywhere from a light and diffused cloudy day to a dark and dreary thunderstorm. Users can do it all with the 30 overcast presets in ProRain™ for Final Cut Pro X. They simply have to scrub through the plugin library in the effects browser and choose the grade that best works with their footage.
After choosing their rain type and overcast grade, users can complete their ProRain™ look by adjusting the amount of gloom in their footage using the powerful and intuitive sliders in the Final Cut Pro X Inspector.
ProRain™ was created by the team at Pixel Film Studios™ to work perfectly inside Final Cut Pro X, eliminating the need to composite footage or create color grades. ProRain™ allows users to take command of the weather with simple to use plugins in FCPX.
