PrimeDoc Renews and Expands Three-Year Contract with Ingenious Med

ATLANTA, Dec. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- PrimeDoc Management Services, Inc. recently renewed a three-year partnership contract with Ingenious Med, experts in physician practice management systems. PrimeDoc, a company specializing in staffing hospitalists, began using Ingenious Med for automated charge capture, practice management, reporting capabilities and improved communication in 2004. The benefits PrimeDoc has experienced with Ingenious Med empowered them to continue and expand the five-year relationship.

Founded in 1997, PrimeDoc is rapidly growing and one of the most well-known hospitalist management companies in the nation, with 12 facilities and more than 100 physicians throughout the Southeast and Mid Atlantic. With all of its physicians and sites using Ingenious Med's IM Practice Manager, PrimeDoc has been able to increase revenue, improve quality of care and compliance and recruit and retain physicians, all while automating and mobilizing its practices.

"As a private practice, proper coding, documentation and compliance are very important," said Chris Noel, VP of Marketing and Recruitment at PrimeDoc. "Ingenious Med is definitely an attractive and helpful tool for recruitment and retention. No matter the doctor or experience level, it is safe to say Ingenious Med makes the physicians lives a lot easier."

Noel notes that when recruiting residents, Ingenious Med adds the appeal of an educational guide for coding and compliance, something they have yet to learn. For practicing physicians and administrators, the reports and functionality of Ingenious Med add attractiveness to PrimeDoc's practice.

"Our relationship with PrimeDoc has been centered around growth," said Scott Pierce, VP of Customer Operations at Ingenious Med. "We're excited to see that many hospitalists around the nation see the value in partnering with PrimeDoc and it is enthralling to be one of the elements that makes PrimeDoc so appealing in the industry. During our five years together, both companies have grown tremendously and the three year extension is a true testament to our compatibility in this market."

Beyond technology growth, PrimeDoc has added a third site in Georgia, PrimeDoc of Brunswick brings a six-physician practice to Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick. Additionally, PrimeDoc has expanded to cover three Bon Secours facilities in Richmond, VA.

Dr. John Johnston, VP of Practice Development for PrimeDoc as well as a practicing physician at the Burlington, NC site, states that "Aside from being an impressive recruitment tool, Ingenious Med is great from a managerial standpoint. I am able to look into detailed reports and analyze what is going on in the practice financially. The automation also gives you the opportunity to submit bills to the payor much faster, avoiding loss charges and increasing accuracy."

Johnston has been with PrimeDoc for more than 6 years and oversees expansion projects, as well as management of his site.
