PriceDoc & Direct Health Care Practices Team Up To Help Uninsured

SEATTLE, July 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Three direct health care practices in Seattle, Qliance, Anchor Medical Clinic and Guardian Family Care have signed up to be listed on PriceDoc (http://www.pricedoc.com). PriceDoc is a new Seattle-based website that connects cash-paying patients to health care providers who offer the services they need.

"Our mission of helping people find quality healthcare at an affordable price coincides with what practices like Qliance, Anchor Medical Clinic and Guardian Family Care are doing here in Seattle," says Patrick Bradley, President and COO of PriceDoc.

Direct health care practices, also called retainer medical practices, are on the rise across the country. In a direct practice, a health care provider charges a patient a set fee for all primary care services provided in their office, regardless of the number of visits. Patients pay a monthly fee and no insurance plan is involved, according to the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner.

For patients who prefer to pay by the visit, many direct health care practices also offer a Single Care Option for episodic treatment, which includes office visits and physicals.
