Presto Donates 5% of Sales to the Northern California Chapter of the National MS Society
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Presto Services Inc. announces a special donation program to coincide with MS Awareness Month in March to raise funds and awareness to find a cure for multiple sclerosis. For each sale of a Presto Printing Mailbox made between March 12 and April 20, 2009, Presto Services Inc. will donate 5% of the retail value ($7.49 each) to the Northern California Chapter of the National MS Society.
"We created the MS donation program to help raise awareness for the fight against MS and how using Presto can assist people with this terrible disease," said Peter Radsliff, president and CEO of Presto Services Inc., "Our subscribers tell us how Presto helps them be more independent by allowing them to receive email without help from anyone. So we created this program to do our small part to help."
Presto is a subscription service that allows people who don't use a computer or the Internet to receive email plus attached photos and documents using their existing phone line connected to a Printing Mailbox-- manufactured for Presto by HP. Messages and attachments sent to the subscriber's Presto-provided email address are automatically retrieved and printed in full color, up to five times per day.
Presto subscriber Elizabeth Jones, a person who suffers with MS, wrote to Presto to tell how it helped improve her life, "When Russ first gave me my Presto, I was skeptical. I'm not computer literate and did not think I needed e-mail. But I was very wrong. A year later, I love my Presto!" She went on to say, "It is hard for me to type because I have multiple sclerosis. With the Presto, there is no typing or computer required. It is so much easier to keep in touch with my brother Russ and his family (he lives in California and I live in Wisconsin so we don't visit very often). With the Presto, he can dash off an e-mail to me and he can send pictures -- LOTS of pictures! I love the pictures! I have no children and seeing Russ's family grow up before my eyes is truly wonderful."
The Presto subscription costs as low as $12.50 a month and the Printing Mailbox retails for $149.99. More information about Presto and the MS donation program can be found at www.presto.com.

About Multiple Sclerosis
Multiple sclerosis interrupts the flow of information between the brain and the body and stops people from moving. Every hour in the United States, someone is newly diagnosed with MS, an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with more than twice as many women as men being diagnosed with the disease. MS affects more than 400,000 people in the U.S. and 2.5 million worldwide.
