New York, NY (PRWEB) June 02, 2013
When talking about iconic rock bands that ruled the music scene in the past, the band named The Eagles should be one on the top of the list and the very famous song "Hotel California" was made popular by this band. This American rock band was formed in 1971 and started in Los Angeles, California. The band was originally comprised of Randy Mesiner, Bernie Leadon, Don Henley and Glenn Frey. This rock band has received several accolades such as winning the Grammys six times, the American Music Awards for five times, seven singles reaching number one on top music charts, and six albums to get to number one. The Eagles were at their peak during the 1970's and members of the baby boomer generation are this bands biggest fans.
During the end of the 20th century, two albums from the band (“Hotel California” and “Their Greatest Hits (1971 – 1975)”) were ranked as part of the top selling studio albums in the United States. In the list of the Rolling Stone magazine of the “Top 500 Greatest Albums of All Time”, the “Hotel California” studio album was ranked as the 37th. When it comes to albums and singles sold all over the world, the band is one of the few musicians who have sold more than 150 million copies of their singles and albums all over the world. The first studio album of the band was released in 1972 and was self-titled and achieved huge success as three of its single reached the Top 40. The band became very successful during 1975 and the Hotel California album was released in late 1976. The group disbanded in 1980, but reunited 14 years later, in 1994. Their latest album was released in 2007 entitled “Long Road Out of Eden” – this was their first studio album after 28 years. The possibility of another new album in the future is high according to the band. Since early 2013, the band has been on tour in support for their new album.
The first leg of the concert series of this band is over, but the fans can still see their iconic rock favorite perform their greatest hits live on stage again.
