Prepare Your Home for Winter By Sealing Drafty Central Air Conditioner Vents
Date:11/13/2013

Mansfield, MA (PRWEB) November 13, 2013

Prepare the home for winter by sealing the drafty central air conditioner vents.

Heat loss can be reduced considerably by sealing the central air conditioner vents, preventing valuable heat from escaping through the vents.

Battic Door Energy Conservation introduces the A-C Draftshield, a reusable cover that seals off central air conditioner vents preventing drafts and energy loss. The A-C Draftshield is a clear plastic cover with a rubber gasket installed around the edge. A bungee cord is included to secure it tightly over the central air conditioner vent.

To install the A-C Draftshield, hook the bungee cord to the central air conditioner vent grill and secure the cover in place. Pull the bungee cord tight and set the cord lock.

A-C Draftshields are transparent and barely noticeable when installed. They leave no mark or damage to your ceiling and are easily removed when desired. A-C Draftshields are available in several sizes to fit most central air conditioning vents and return grilles.

Use the A-C Draftshield to prepare a home for winter. Use it all year long to seal off the heating and air conditioning to unused rooms, reducing energy use.

During the winter heating season, homeowners with uncovered central air conditioning vents can spend $200 or more in unnecessary heating costs that could be saved by installing A-C DraftShield central air conditioning vent covers. Simply closing the louvers in your grilles will not stop airflow and associated heat loss because the louvers do not provide an air-tight seal.

A-C DraftShield covers are designed to prevent heat loss, conserve energy, and save money by covering central air-conditioning vents. A-C DraftShield covers prevent icy drafts from entering the
