Navigation Links, the Background Checking Information Portal for HR Professionals, Launches New E-magazine for International Background Screening Marketplace

Lake Forest, CA (PRWEB) March 16, 2015 announced a significant addition to its growing list of publications, The Global Background Screener. The new e-magazine is focused on keeping professional background screeners, HR professionals and hiring managers informed about international background screening issues. It will be published every other month.

Each edition of The Global Background Screener will highlight key global issues in countries around the world and showcase specific sources of information from’s World Information Center. The World Information Center is designed specifically to provide information for professionals who conduct business internationally. It includes sections on: holidays celebrated in different countries, world time zones, a time zone converter tool, in-depth resources on most countries, guidelines on data protection laws, access to freedom-of-information around the world and much more.

W. Barry Nixon, SPHR, COO,, the co-author of the book: Background Screening & Investigations: Managing Hiring Risk from an HR and Security Perspective, and former chair of the National Association of Professional Background Screeners’ (NAPBS) International Committee said, “We are on the cusp of reaching the point when the number of background screening firms outside of the U.S. will rival the number of firms in the marketplace historically dominated by U.S. companies. It will not happen this year, but the time is coming.”

Nixon, who also serves as an International Ambassador for NAPBS on their Global Advisory Council, added, “With the continued growth in background screening worldwide and the significant number of countries that now have firms in the industry, we thought the time was ripe for a publication to address this growing trend in the marketplace. The goal of The Global Background Screener is to become the news source for professionals involved with background screening located anywhere in the world.”

The Global Background Screener includes news on background screening issues in many countries around the world, a World Information Center which is an information rich resource for professionals that do business in the international marketplace and an International Legal Challenge question which test readers knowledge of legal background screening practices in different countries. The publication also includes new international background screening firms that have been added to the’s industry leading background screening directory.
