Prairie Winds Affordable Assisted Living to Host Hat Show
Date:7/26/2013

Bradley, Illinois (PRWEB) July 26, 2013

Prairie Winds of Urbana, a BMA affordable assisted living community, will host a hat show at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31.

The community serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

Ladies from Douglas Annex will display their elaborate church hats during the show.

“This is a show you don’t want to miss. It has 'hatitude',” says Margaret Seggebruch, Director of Marketing for Prairie Winds.

The show is free and open to the public.

Tours of the community, which is located at 1905 S. Prairie Winds Dr. in Urbana, Illinois, will be available.

For more information, call 217-344-6400.

The Prairie Winds assisted living community is fully certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

Residents of Prairie Living live in private apartments.

Each of the apartments features a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, and an emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide residents with personal assistance and help with medications. Meals, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.

In addition, residents benefit from plenty of opportunities to socialize with their neighbors and to participate on social activities and special events, says Seggebruch.

"Our focus is to provide residents with the love, compassion and dignity they deserve in addition to the care and assistance that they need," she says. "Our emphasis is on helping residents achieve and maintain as much independence as possible for as long as possible."

Based in Bradley, Illinois, BMA Management operates 36 senior living communities, housi
