Potential Drug AMG Services LDL Reduction, Declared "New Hope" by Home And Recreation Lifestyle Magazine

In a recently published article from HomeAndRecreation.org, the family-oriented magazine website alerted readers to the conclusion of Phase 2 testing of experimental cholesterol drug AMG. As reported on Home And Recreation, AMG services reduction of Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol. High levels of LDL cholesterol is one of the most significant health risks facing Americans, with related illnesses such as heart disease ranking among the top killers in the United States and the rest of the Western world.

The Home And Recreation article reports that AMG 145 acts by interrupting a process in which the protein PCSK9 binds to LDL receptors on the liver and prevents the liver from effectively removing LDL cholesterol from the body.

Francine Bennett, an editor at HomeAndRecreation.org, commented on the site's coverage of Amgen's recent announcement. "As expressed in the recently published article, we really believe that maintaining good health is one of the most crucial things that people can do to keep their families living together happily," said Bennett. "Illness is a fact of life and strong families come together in times of illness to support each other, but anything that can be done to help prevent illness works to create stronger family ties, in our eyes."

Since AMG 145 is not yet available as normal prescription drug, Home And Recreation called the potential medication a "?New Hope For Combating High Cholesterol", referring to the recently reported success of AMG in Phase 2 clinical trials.
