PHII To Host Free Webinar on December 18, 2008

LOVELAND, Ohio, Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The Population Health Impact Institute (PHII), a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, is pleased to announce that it is recruiting test sites for its new Methods Evaluation ProcessTM (MEPTM) Accreditation Program. On December 18, 2008, PHII will host a complimentary Webinar to provide an overview of the MEP's objectives and goals.

In order to make transparent attributions between intervention and outcomes, PHII has developed the Methods Evaluation Process (MEP) Accreditation & Certification Programs. The MEP Programs are based on the same principles of evidence as comparative effectiveness research. One has to compare a program to something equivalent. And, the metrics and methods used in the comparison must be transparent.

Thomas Wilson, Ph.D., notes, "The goal of the MEP is to promote high quality and transparent attribution methods to health care purchasers looking for value-based healthcare and comparative effectiveness. PHII has convened national experts to develop MEP, a practical system to help Americans evaluate the methods used in all kindsof population health management programs."

We invite you to participate in PHII's Webinar On Comparative Effectiveness, scheduled for Thursday, December 18 at 2:00 p.m. (EST) for 60 minutes. This complementary session will feature:

  • Joel V. Brill, MD, Chief Medical Officer, Predictive Health, LLC
  • Garry Carneal, JD, MA., CEO, Schooner Healthcare Services
  • Vicki Darlington, MPH, MLA, Corporate Wellness, Entergy Corporation
  • Richard Hodach, MD, PhD, Population Health Consultant
  • Jaan Sidorov, MD, Principal, Sidorov Health Solutions
  • Thomas Wilson, PhD, Chair, PHII Board of Directo
