The 2013 Maine Geriatrics Conference offers a wide range of workshops and networking opportunities. Continuing professional education credits are available for physicians and PAs, nursing home administrators, and nurses. The Maine Health Access Foundation awarded the conference a $2,000 grant to advance education and teaching on aging in Maine. The conference also includes numerous informative exhibitors, including Lunder-Dineen Health Education Alliance of Maine, the event’s Diamond Sponsor.
Health care professionals attending the Geriatrics Conference can stay an extra day to participate in a free educational training program called “Preparing for the Future: Alzheimer's Disease & Related Dementias.” Presented by the UNE Maine Geriatric Education Center, the program is funded with a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration.
