Final Cut Pro X special effects and plugin developer, Pixel Film Studios, releases ProSlice Volume 2, a package of 50 grunge split screen layouts for Apple's Final Cut Pro X today.
"ProSlice Volume 2 is a great way to add a grungy, Instagram look to your footage in Final Cut Pro X," said Christina Austin, CEO of Pixel Film Studios, "We also redesigned the effect to make the split screen process easier than ever in FCPX."
FCPX users can add a hip, grungy style to their next split screen scene in Final Cut Pro X by using hand drawn borders and divider lines. Then complete their grungy look by adding lens dirt and discoloration filters to the image in the few clicks of a mouse.
With ProSlice Volume 2's collection of 50 split screen layouts, editors can divide their screen into two, three, four or even five sections in the few clicks of a mouse all within FCPX. They can slice up-and-down, left-to-right and every other way they can imagine.
Filmmakers can position their image with precision. With easy-to-use on-screen controls, users can scale, rotate and position their image inside its designated panel without ever having to leave the Viewer window in Final Cut Pro X. Users can then angle their entire ProSlice in 3D space and adjust the depth of field.
The team at Pixel Film Studios redesigned the split screen method to make the process easier than ever in Final Cut Pro X. Users can simply stack their images and footage in the timeline, place the frame layer above them all, and drop the area designator effects on each image. Then they can use the controls in the Inspector to stylize the look of their split screen.
