PinnacleHealth System Selects Phoenix Health Systems to Provide HIPAA Security Assessment Services
Date:10/16/2007

DALLAS, Oct. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Phoenix Health Systems, Inc. (Phoenix), a national provider of healthcare strategic consulting, IT outsourcing and revenue cycle management services, recently completed a HIPAA Security engagement with PinnacleHealth of Harrisburg, PA.

Phoenix conducted a HIPAA Risk Evaluation as part of compliance services specified by the security provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). The HIPAA Risk Assessment and Evaluation identified the current PinnacleHealth security posture in comparison to the requirements of the final HIPAA Security Rule. The HIPAA Evaluation also assessed the ability of current security mechanisms to enforce PinnacleHealth security policy, assist PinnacleHealth customers and clients, and ascertain the capabilities of existing controls to conform to the HIPAA Security Regulations.

"PinnacleHealth was pleased to work with Phoenix to document the commitment PinnacleHealth has made to ensuring PinnacleHealth meets or exceeds the HIPAA Security Requirements," said Steven Roth, Vice President and Chief Information Officer of PinnacleHealth. "Phoenix provided a quality assessment, but what set them apart is their ability to communicate the requirements to all levels of the organization, from clinicians, to administration, and to Information Services personnel."

"Phoenix is delighted to have performed the HIPAA Risk Assessment and Evaluation for PinnacleHealth in direct support of PinnacleHealth's efforts that meets the HIPAA Security Requirements and adequately safeguards protected information" said Darin LeGrange, President and CEO of Phoenix Health Systems. "As a respected knowledge leader in HIPAA and security services, we are committed to providing innovative, cost effective solutions which support the delivery of quality care."
