Physicians’ Education Resource® Becomes Approved Nursing Education Provider

Physicians’ Education Resource®, LLC (PER®), is now an approved continuing education provider with the California Board of Registered Nursing. This accreditation allows PER to increase collaboration with nurses to provide education that addresses their specific clinical needs.

“PER is dedicated to advancing cancer care through professional education, and we are delighted to be able to offer continuing education contact hours for nurses who participate in our live and online activities,” said PER President Phil Talamo. “This further solidifies PER as the 'go-to' source in oncology education.”

“Nurses are essential members of an interprofessional oncology treatment team,” he noted. “They are a critical resource to patients undergoing cancer treatment. Nurses are on the front lines of patient care. They are involved with side effect management, patient education and advocacy for patients undergoing complicated, sometimes long-term treatments. It is critically important for them to keep up with the complexities of evolving cancer treatments.”

PER’s nursing accreditation is the latest commitment of Michael J. Hennessy Associates, Inc., corporate parent of PER, to serving the healthcare community by offering a broad range of educational, research and communications services focused on all oncology professionals, including nurses.
