Physicians Prompt Care Health Clinic Opens in Orland Park JEWEL-OSCO(R)

FRANKLIN PARK, Ill., July 29 /PRNewswire/ -- JEWEL-OSCO, a leading Midwest food and drug retailer, has partnered with Tinley Park-based Physicians Prompt Care Centers to launch Physicians Prompt Care Express, a convenient new health care option designed to meet the needs of busy southwestern suburban families and customers on the go.

Board-certified Prompt Care Express physicians will offer high-quality, convenient and affordable medical services from a newly-constructed health clinic inside of the Jewel-Osco, located at 9352 W. 159th St, in Orland Park. The new, in-store health facility marks Jewel-Osco's first point of entry into Chicagoland's retail medical clinic business. It establishes the second ambulatory care site operated by Prompt Care Physician Centers LLC.

"Physicians Prompt Care Express will offer a timely and less-expensive alternative to a hospital's emergency room. Our services can be helpful for individuals who are pressed for time, and for adults and children who do not have a regular physician or whose primary care physician is unavailable," said Dr. James Richardson, MD, an owner.

Just steps away from the full service Jewel-Osco Pharmacy, Prompt Care Express physicians will provide acute medical care to walk-in patients and treat a variety of maladies, including coughs and colds, fractures, sprains, headaches and eye injuries. In addition, drug and alcohol occupational health testing and physical exams needed for work, school and sports camps will be available at the in-store clinic.
