Phoenix Health Systems Launches Total Security Program for the Healthcare Industry
Date:3/5/2009

DALLAS, March 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Phoenix Health Systems, a national provider of healthcare information technology outsourcing, consulting and business process solutions, announced today its Total Security Program which is designed to offer hospitals and other healthcare organizations a comprehensive suite of security services that assess, remediate and monitor every aspect of the organization's security operations. The Program goes beyond regulated compliance requirements to minimize business operations risk and allow for a "safer" patient and employee experience.

Lapses in security create a serious threat to hospitals and patients. With Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) audits on the rise and an increase in criminal cases, the likelihood that more hospitals will be scrutinized is very high. Can your organization afford not to assess its security program?

The Total Security Program includes a full spectrum of security services: physical facility, information, technical (network and desktop), disaster recovery / business continuity, and identity theft. The Program's design allows for flexibility and can be implemented in its entirety, or customized in a modular fashion. Phoenix has partnered with Universal Assessment Solutions, LLC, which brings years of law enforcement and security experience to provide facility physical security and identity theft services.

"We have all seen the headlines recently regarding intrusions into hospital facilities, attacks on networks, thefts of laptops and disclosures of patient health information," said Darin LeGrange, President and CEO, Phoenix Health Systems. "The impact of these incidents can be enormous: employees or pati
