Huntsville, Ala. (PRWEB) December 24, 2012
The 2012-2013 edition of the Alabama DUI Handbook, written by prominent Huntsville, Alabama DUI attorney, Phillip B. Price, Sr., is now in print. It is published by West®, a Thomson Reuters business.
This is the third edition of the Handbook, which is the premier treatise on Alabama DUI law. Mr. Price, who is recognized throughout the nation as a top DUI law practitioner and scholar, published the first edition of the Handbook in 2010 and has continued to update it on an annual basis thereafter. The book is recognized as an essential resource for any attorney handling DUI cases in Alabama.
Earlier this year Mr. Price was honored with the prestigious Erwin-Taylor Award by the National College for DUI Defense (NCDD), the highest honor given to DUI Defense attorneys. He is only the eighth person to receive that award.
Phillip Price is considered one of the nation’s leading DUI defense attorneys. He has practiced DUI defense law for over 30 years, has lectured throughout the country to other attorneys on alcohol breath test issues and many other topics related to DUI defense.
Mr. Price is perhaps best known among Alabama attorneys for successfully handling a series of DUI appellate cases that have brought sweeping changes to Alabama’s DUI law. For example, in 1994, in a landmark decision, he persuaded the Alabama Supreme Court to throw out the Alabama breath test program. Even the definition of DUI as a crime in Alabama stems from a case he handled in the Alabama Supreme Court.
