Philadelphia Insurance Companies Slam Dunk for Cancer

BALA CYNWYD, Pa., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Philadelphia Insurance Companies (Nasdaq: PHLY) "Team PHLY" and Philly's "BIG 5 Coaches" will tip off for the American Cancer Society at the Palestra in Philadelphia on October 10, 2008 at 5:30 PM.

Sean Sweeney, PHLY's Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer commented: "At PHLY we believe in giving back through fitness. More than ten thousand Americans are struck by cancer each year; we're taking this challenge on the court. Over 500 PHLY employees, families, friends and BIG 5 fans are expected to attend. PHLY fans will have the opportunity to meet the coaches; and also receive autographs, photographs, and giveaways.
