Use of Non-GAAP Financial Measures

Pharsight has provided financial information in this release that has not been prepared in accordance with GAAP. This information includes non-GAAP net income and net earnings per basic and diluted share, and non-GAAP net income and diluted earnings per share guidance for fiscal 2008. Pharsight uses these non-GAAP financial measures internally in analyzing its financial results and believes they are useful to investors, as a supplement to GAAP measures, in evaluating Pharsight's ongoing business performance and comparison to prior periods.
