Pharmahelper Pleased To Recognize Online Pharmacy Practice Standards Announced By Google Adwords
Date:2/11/2010

Google announces new policy which requires online pharmacy advertisers to be accredited by NABP’s Verified Internet Pharmacy Practices Sites℠ (VIPPS®) program (for the US) or the Canadian International Pharmacy Association (for Canada).

New York, NY (PRWEB) -- Pharmahelper®, the website where people go when they want to safely compare prescription drug prices from online pharmacies that operate legally, is pleased to learn about Google’s new policy regarding Internet pharmacy advertisers. The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) accreditation program entails a thorough evaluation and inspection process designed to ensure the safety and authenticity of prescription medicines acquired online.

Earlier this week, Google announced a new policy requiring online pharmacy advertisers to be accredited by NABP’s Verified Internet Pharmacy Practices Sites℠ (VIPPS®) program (for the US) or the Canadian International Pharmacy Association (for Canada). Today, Pharmahelper president John Lattuca made the following statement regarding Google’s new policy.

“Over the coming weeks, we look forward to finding out more details about Google’s AdWords policy and how it will begin to make online pharmacy advertising safer. We are confident that it will be set up in a way that will create an open marketplace for all legitimate online pharmacies to advertise, while at the same time keeping the deceptive and illegal drug sellers out.”

Mr. Lattuca also stated, “At Pharmahelper, consumer safety has been and will continue to be our first concern, so we’re glad to see this development. We’ll look forward to adding more participating Internet pharmacies to our roster over the coming weeks.”
