Marshall, Ph D., has joined the company's Board of Directors.
Dr. Marshall brings over 23 years of experience in senior financial and operating roles, investment banking and business development to LeveragePoint's Board of Directors. He has raised over $500 mm for companies through public and private financings and business development. Prior to his current role serving as a consultant to life sciences companies for financing, operations and business development, Dr. Marshall served as Executive Vice President and CFO of Panacos Pharmaceuticals, including a seven-month period as Acting CEO. He was Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration and CFO of EPIX Pharmaceuticals from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, he was CFO of The Medicines Company from 1997 to 2002, playing an important role in its IPO, the launch of its first drug and the execution and implementation of a number of licensing and collaboration transactions.
From 1985 to 1997, Dr. Marshall was an investment banker with UBS, Goldman Sachs and First Boston, mostly based in London, with his primary activity working with clients on structured transactions and financing. From 1981 to 1985 he was an Economics faculty member at Vanderbilt University. He holds an A.B. in economics from Davidson College and a Ph.D. in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
