Peter Harker Joins Prometheus Research as Vice President of Sales

NEW HAVEN, Conn., Feb. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Prometheus Research, a provider of database software for biomedical researchers and industry, has named Peter Harker as its new Vice President of Sales.

In this role Harker is responsible for developing new client channels, building strategic relationships, and managing sales for the company's Research Informatics biomedical software services and for its new HTSQL database software for industry.  He reports to Andrzej Pienczykowski, Executive Vice President of Product Strategy.

Harker joins Prometheus with more than 20 years experience in developing, selling, and marketing software solutions to Fortune 500 companies.  In addition, he has extensive experience building the sales and marketing efforts for start-up software companies.

"Peter brings a strategic sales experience to Prometheus Research and to our growing portfolio of information access tools," said Pienczykowski.  "Peter's responsibilities are to build and manage sales for both our biomedical and commercial database software products and services.  His experience in software and technology sales knowledge will be an invaluable asset to Prometheus as it grows and expands into new markets."

Prior to joining Prometheus, Harker held a variety of sales leadership roles, most recently as Managing Director for BondDesk, LLC, a leading provider of software and services for fixed income trading. He also served as Head of Sales and Business Development for Communicator, Inc. and was President and Founder of SQX.  Additionally, Peter held various positions at Thomson Financial.

Harker lives in Westport, Conn., with his wife and three sons.
