Producer D.C. Anderson and LML Music Announce April 13 Release

Los Angeles (PRWEB) April 14, 2010 -- LML Music announces the April 13, 2010 release of 'in my room' -a multi artist, Folk/Americana CD benefiting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. 'in my room' was conceived and produced by LML recording artist D.C. Anderson, the prolific writer/producer/performer behind the successful 1993 benefit CD, 'Cabaret Noel: A Broadway Cares Christmas.'

“For this project, I was after the kind of pure, un-selfconscious sound I get when I sing by myself in my room,” explains Anderson. So he asked 19 noted singer/songwriters from the folk/acoustic/Americana genres to choose a song by a writer they admire and record it simply while accompanying themselves, as if in the special place where they play for fun.

'in my room' boasts an impressive list of contributors, including Grammy winning former NFL Superstar Mike Reid, Billboard #1 Songwriter Victoria Shaw and iTunes #1 selling artist Peter Bradley Adams. Songwriters represented on 'in my room' include Dylan, Curtis Mayfield, Cheryl Wheeler, Patty Griffin, Ray LaMontagne, Tom Waits and Bruce Springsteen. Each artist created a special recording and donated it exclusively to the project, joining production staff and vendors whose generosity benefits the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in working towards a world free of multiple sclerosis.

Producer D. C. Anderson has been touring the country for 20 years as ‘Andre’ in The Phantom of the Opera. Along the way, he has released 10 recordings (including four well reviewed CDs of his original material). His 1993 project, 'Cabaret Noel: A Broadway Cares Christmas' is a compilation CD featuring such luminaries as Tommy Tune, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Maureen McGovern, BD Wong and Andrea Marcovicci; it continues to be a financial highlight of each Christmas season for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

“Last June, I got the idea to produce a CD similar to 'Noel,' within the genres I’ve recently been exploring as a songwriter. I have a sister who has been living with MS for a number of years, and I saw it as a creative way to be part of the solution, and benefit a cause close to my family. In talking to the other 'in my room' artists, I discovered that a good number of them also recorded their selection in honor of family members and friends affected by multiple sclerosis; they took this opportunity to help make a difference.

'in my room' drops on April 13, 2010 and will be available on Amazon, iTunes, CDUniverse, Tower Records, Best Buy, Target and HB Direct and
Barnesandnoble.com.
