Personal Injury Law Firm Helps New Bedford Man Recover $650,000 For Auto Accident Injuries

The auto accident attorneys at d'Oliveira & Associates negotiated a $650,000 settlement with the insurance company of a truck driver after the truck driver collided with one of the firm’s clients (New Bedford, MA, District Court, Case Number: NB-11445). According to the complaint, the client, a New Bedford man, was seriously injured when a tractor trailer failed to stop and crashed into his vehicle. The impact propelled the vehicle forward and caused a six car pile-up. Emergency personnel had to remove the man from the wreckage and immediately take him to be treated at a trauma center. He was treated as an in-patient for two days and subsequently underwent many treatments. He suffered serious and pervasive injuries from this tractor trailer accident such as injuries to his head, neck, shoulders, back, and chest. The injuries to his shoulders required surgery. He also suffered cuts to his face and arm that required stitches, as well as significant bruising to his chest. Additionally, he sustained a concussion, facial fractures, and dental fractures. These injuries caused substantial pain and amounted to substantial medical expenses. The injuries were so severe that the man became disabled and has been unable to work since the date of the motor vehicle accident.
