PLANO, Texas, Dec. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Perot Systems Corporation (NYSE: PER) (http://www.perotsystems.com) today announced that the Daughters of Charity Health System (DCHS) has awarded the company a contract extension for IT services. Under terms of the agreement, Perot Systems will continue to provide full IT outsourcing services to include application implementation and support, desktop support, local and wide area network design and maintenance, data center management, server design and control, help desk and incident management.

DCHS includes six hospitals: Seton Medical Center, Daly City; Seton Coastside, Moss Beach; O'Connor Hospital, San Jose; Saint Louise Regional Hospital, Gilroy; St. Francis Medical Center, Lynwood; and St. Vincent Medical Center, Los Angeles.
Perot Systems and DCHS began their relationship seven years ago, and the extension will enable DCHS to continue to improve its information technology capabilities, ultimately resulting in a fully automated electronic medical record as well as a computerized physician order entry capability.
