Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition Hosts Annual Conference

Join the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition and celebrate fifteen years of Education, Advocacy, and Research!

EPHRATA, Pa., Sept. 11 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition (PBCC) Annual Conference will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at the Harrisburg Hilton & Towers from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in celebration of its fifteen years of education, advocacy, and research.

Pat Halpin-Murphy, President and Founder of the PBCC said, "The Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition Annual Conference is the only statewide breast cancer conference in Pennsylvania bringing together breast cancer survivors, advocates, medical professionals, volunteers, legislators and corporate leaders."

Registration for this highly acclaimed conference, which includes a continental breakfast, Pink Ribbon Awards Luncheon, and conference tote bag, is only $65 if registration is received before September 15, 2008, increasing to $85 thereafter. Continuing Education credits are also available for nursing attendees. Registration is available online at http://www.pabreastcancer.org/conf.

This milestone year for the PBCC brings four influential award winners to the Annual Conference. The Pink Ribbon Award will be presented to Estelle Richman, Secretary, PA Department of Public Welfare, and Frank Pinto, President and CEO, PA Association of Community Bankers.

In addition, the Vivian and Meyer P. Potamkin Foundation Award for Breast Cancer Research will be awarded to Timothy Rebbeck, Ph.D., Professor of Biostatistics & Epidemiology, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Sandy Cray, survivor, volunteer, advocate and Lehigh Valley Vice President, PBCC Board of Directors, will also be honored with this year's Shining Light Award.

The conference kicks-off with an evening reception on Tuesday, October 7 at 6:00 p.m. There, the PBCC will honor Grassroots Partners f
