Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI) is the unwanted leakage of urine caused by increased pressure on the bladder triggered by events such as coughing, laughing, sneezing, lifting, and exercising. Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI) in women usually results from weakness and lack of support in the muscles of the pelvis, known as the pelvic floor. These muscles are crucial in supporting the internal organs of the pelvis and controlling the sphincter muscles that retain or release urine stored in the bladder.
