Pelosi Statement on the Death of Dr. Michael DeBakey

WASHINGTON, July 12 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued the following statement on the death of renowned heart surgeon Dr. Michael DeBakey:

"In his 70 years of medical practice, Dr. DeBakey had given hope and

health to patients and families across the globe by literally fixing

broken hearts. We honored his innovative spirit by awarding him the

Congressional Gold Medal earlier this year.
