Pawtucket Family YMCA to Host Annual Block Party
Date:5/30/2013

Pawtucket, RI (PRWEB) May 30, 2013

People of all ages are invited to the 6th Annual Pawtucket Family YMCA Block Party on Saturday, June 15th, from 10am to 1pm. This fun and free event will be held in the parking lot of the facility, located at 20 Summer Street in Pawtucket.

This event is an excellent way to kick-off your weekend. The block party features activities such as an inflatable obstacle course, various play areas and a rock climbing wall. Additionally, the YMCA staff will be grilling up hotdogs and other complimentary refreshments will be offered as well.

Jim Stewart, Executive Director of the Pawtucket Family YMCA, is encouraging all of their members, friends and neighbors to attend, “This event offers many exciting activities for children, but also offers useful information to parents and seniors. Anyone looking to adopt a healthier lifestyle or learn more about the Family Y programs should attend this worthwhile, and free, event.”

The Family Y will be offering tours of the state-of-the-art facility for anyone interesting in joining the Y. Staff members will also be on-hand to answer any questions parents or guardians may have about registering their child for one of the many unique and affordable summer day camps offered at the Family Y. Day camping at the Y offers engaging activities, swimming, physical fitness and promotes proper nutrition.

To learn more about the Block Party or summer camps, please contact Sean Cassidy at 727.7900 or email scassidy(at)ymcapawt(dot)org.
