Patrick J. McMahon Named Senior Vice President/CFO of Sisters of Charity Health System

Prior to his role at Southwest General, McMahon led a privately held for-profit corporate consulting practice that provided business, strategic, financial and health care consulting services. For more than 12 years, he was also Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Akron General Health System, where he directed all financial, audit, accounting, budgeting and treasury operations, including financial strategic planning, patient financial services, information systems, purchasing and materials management for a health system with more than 6,000 employees.

Before joining Akron General, McMahon was a partner with the international accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand, where he served for 18 years.

A native of Cleveland, McMahon holds an MBA in finance and bachelor's degree in accounting from Kent State University. He is also a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Akron Zoological Park's Board of Directors, and a member of the Cleveland Catholic Diocese Finance Council.
