Date:8/14/2009

Leader in Web-based admissions software for long-term care will present a technology and admissions educational session for THCA members

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) August 14, 2009 -- Patient Placement Systems, the leading provider of automated Web-based admissions for long-term care providers, announced today that it will present a session at the Tennessee Health Care Association 2009 Annual Convention. The convention takes place August 16, 2009, at the Nashville Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn.

Doug Walker, VP and general manager of Patient Placement Systems, will present to THCA members on the topic of "Five Long-Term Care Admissions Fiascos and How to Avoid Them." The session incorporates feedback from series of long-term care surveys conducted over the past 18 months.

"THCA strives to provide members with educational opportunities that enhance their ability to provide quality care, and we're thrilled to present at this year's THCA conference," said Doug Walker, VP and General Manager for Patient Placement Systems. "We want to help providers make admissions a competitive advantage by dodging the pitfalls others stumble over--and embrace technologies that boost census performance and improve responsiveness and efficiency."

The five pitfalls for long-term care admissions:
1.   Shortchanging admissions
2.   Referral response delays
3.   Skipping self assessment
4.   Failure to face the fax
5.   Do-it-yourself disasters
