Patient Placement Systems Presenting Two Sessions at ACHCA 2009 Convocation
Date:5/12/2009

Leader in Web-based admissions software for long-term care will present technology and admissions educational sessions for ACHCA members

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) May 12, 2009 --Patient Placement Systems, the leading provider of automated Web-based admissions for long-term care providers, announced today that it will exhibit and present two sessions at the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) 2009 Annual Convocation and Exposition. The convocation takes place May 15-19 at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence, R.I.

Doug Walker, VP and General Manager of Patient Placement Systems, will present to ACHCA members on the topics of "Boosting Census and Revenue with New Admissions Technologies" and "4 Steps to Help Embrace New Technologies in Long-Term Care." Patient Placement Systems based much of the presentation content a series of long-term care surveys conducted over the past 18 months.

"ACHCA promotes excellence and leadership in the long-term care industry, and we're honored to speak and participate at this year's ACHCA convocation," said Doug Walker, VP and General Manager for Patient Placement Systems. "We're excited to share ideas, recommendations, and eye-opening results of our industry research with ACHCA members, and help them understand and embrace technology solutions that improve care and productivity."

Walker noted some specific research results that highlight the challenges of long-term care admissions. For example, the average skilled nursing facility receives 1,110 patient referrals annually and manually manages 27,000 pages of documentation.
