The recent CAP accreditation for the PathNet Esoteric Lab Institute main location includes PathNet's focus on molecular pathology and gynecologic diagnostics. PathNet has been accredited by CAP in anatomic pathology processing, bacteriology, chemistry, coagulation, cytology processing and screening, Director/Organizational assessment, gynecologic cytopathology, hematology, immunology, laboratory general, molecular microbiology, molecular pathology, non-gynecologic cytopathology, special chemistry, surgical pathology, toxicology and urinalysis.

The CAP laboratory accreditation program has PathNet Lab Institute listed for subspecialty information in the niche areas of: ABO Group/Rh Type, Antibody Detection (non-transfusion), Bacteriology, Cytology, Endocrinology, General Immunology, Hematology, Histopathology, Parasitology, Routine Chemistry, Syphilis Serology, Toxicology, Urinalysis and Virology.
