PASADENA, Calif., March 12 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Pasadena Forward announced that Tiffany & Co. will serve as the Awards Sponsor of the inaugural Pasadena Marathon presented by Kaiser Permanente. The event will be held on March 22, 2009. Tiffany & Co. will provide the winner of the men's and women's marathon with a commemorative gift. A private reception will be held at Tiffany's Pasadena store following the March event in honor of the collaboration.

"Since Tiffany & Co. opened its doors in Pasadena in 2005, we have enjoyed a warm welcome from this wonderful community," said Paige Pomerantz, Director of Tiffany & Co. Pasadena. "We are thrilled to partner with the Pasadena Marathon as Awards Sponsor, which we see as a great opportunity for us to support the local community."

By offering financial and logistical support to local civic and charitable agencies, Pasadena Forward aims to have a broad impact on the nonprofit community's ability to deliver services. The Pasadena Marathon was conceived as a large-scale fundraiser to further the mission of Pasadena Forward.

Israel Estrada, Executive Director of Pasadena Forward, adds that the combination of Tiffany & Co. and the marathon makes for an ideal partnership. "Tiffany & Co. is known for its excellent craftsmanship, and we are honored that the company will be the Awards Sponsor for our inaugural event. This is a relationship that we hope will grow in the coming years as the Pasadena Marathon gains in popularity."
