Partnership Uses Video to Bring Complex Science into Focus

Mains Associates partners with Emmy Award winning TV correspondent Marc Levenson to provide high-quality video content development to Research-based organizations.

Berkeley, CA (PRWEB) July 10, 2008 -- Mains Associates is pleased to announce an agreement with Emmy award winning TV science correspondent Marc Levenson to develop, produce, and host original video content for its Life Science clients.

Mains Associates will work with Levenson to help clients translate complex scientific topics into short, compelling video segments that are tailored to each client's specific audience, and deliver them through the media channels best suited for achieving specific business objectives.

"When communicating science-based information to investors, customers, partners, or collaborators, our clients will now be able to share their message through video at the same high level of quality, professionalism, and clarity that they have come to expect from all content services provided by Mains Associates," says Managing Director Jason Cardillo. "We are excited about working with people of Marc's caliber to provide a larger set of services."

Levenson, co-host of the nationally syndicated science and technology series 'Tech Closeup,' is a winner of three Emmy Awards for his science and technology reporting and writing. Levenson's professional career has spanned more than thirty years, and includes science reporting for CBS, CNN, PBS, and TechTV. In addition to his Emmy Awards, Marc has received a Cine Golden Eagle, and numerous Associated Press Awards.

"Elevating science literacy is a monumental challenge because people fear what they don't understand," says Levenson. "I've focused my career on providing complex information in compelling ways using video. By teaming with Mains Associates, we're opening up the opportunities for research to be communicated through the power of video."

About Marc Levenson:
Marc Levenson has traveled the world in search of new worlds in science, technology and medicine. From his groundbreaking coverage of robotic heart surgery to a landmark Moscow interview with Russia's fusion pioneer Dr. Andrei Sakharov, Levenson has devoted his career to making science and medicine more accessible and easier to understand. He argues that science, technology, and especially biotechnology, get limited coverage on television and radio because people fear what they don't understand. His novel, fun approach relies on using everyday familiar objects as metaphors to make science more relevant to a non-scientific audience. Levenson's professional career spans more than thirty years, and includes science reporting for CBS, CNN, PBS, and TechTV, and now his weekly syndicated series, Tech Closeup. His dedication has earned him three Emmy Awards, a Cine Golden Eagle, and numerous Associated Press Awards.
