Parents' Day is Coming - Kidz-Med Celebrates the Role of Parents
Date:6/25/2009

WESTON, Fla., June 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Health and Safety Products Company, Kidz-Med, Inc. takes special notice of organizations dedicated to the well-being of children. This year, Kidz-Med, Inc. along with its parent company, American Scientific Resources, Inc. is proud to help recognize deserving parents serving as role models for all families.

In 1994, President Bill Clinton signed into law Parents' Day, the fourth Sunday of each July, as a national day of commemoration, as established by the US Congress and recognizing the crucial role of parents in the raising of children. Parents' Day provides an opportunity for children and adults to honor both their natural parents as well as other parental figures, including step-moms, step-dads, and adoptive and foster parents. Parents' Day activities include honoring parental role models as "Parents of the Year", selected on the community, state and national levels.

The official Parents' Day website defines Parents' day as "the result of a bipartisan, multiracial and interfaith coalition of religious, civic and elected leaders who recognized the need to promote responsible parenting in our society and to uplift ideal parental role models, especially for our nation's children." Dr. Christopher F. Tirotta, Pediatric Anesthesiologist at Miami Children's Hospital and CEO & Chairman of the Board of American Scientific Resources, Inc. (Parent company of Kidz-Med) stated, "In today's rough economy, more Americans are once again focusing attention on the value of family; of standing together; of helping one another. The best way to assure the health and safety of our children is through good parenting."
