Parascript Announces New Features, Subscription-based Pricing to Make it Easier to Obtain Information from Documents

Longmont, Colorado (PRWEB) June 20, 2013

Parascript®, LLC, a leading recognition technology provider, today is announcing new, advanced features in its flagship products FormXtra 5.3 and FormXtra Capture 5.3. These feature-rich additions provide a one-stop shop for companies to obtain content from more sources, process more data types and broaden enablement of mobile technologies for forms processing.

The roll out includes a new, flexible pay-as-you-go subscription, and per-click based pricing formats, allowing companies to have a truly integrated document capture strategy sans the large upfront capital expense. Also now included in the flagship products are Parascript’s world-class check recognition engine and a new web services capability that simplifies mobile and distributed capture development, and interfaces with Parascript’s intelligent document recognition software over the Internet.

“With this announcement, we are opening the flood gates on giving companies greater access to information from a wide variety of formats,” said Dwayne Ritchie, Parascript’s senior vice president, sales and marketing. “Our advanced software is an all-in-one solution that reduces the guesswork and lifts the burden many companies face in accurately and quickly capturing information from forms and other documents. It continues our mission of supporting our VAR and OEM channels with broad enablement and more ways to process more content from more sources.”

FormXtra 5.3 and FormXtra Capture 5.3’s new web services offering simplifies application development and deployment, with an interface that enables the software to easily communicate over the Internet. It can be used for mobile capture, distributed scanning and remote desktop capture applications and can automatically process captured images of account applications, claims forms (or anything typically requiring a fax) over the Internet.

The new software also continues Parascript’s strategy of unifying its product set by combining its world-class check recognition engine in the FormXtra products, giving users the ability to process checks, either alone or in conjunction with a stream of other documents, such as remittances.

Both FormXtra and FormXtra Capture give VARs, OEMs and others the ability to leverage Parascript’s award-wining technology with an easy-to-navigate GUI and access to a .NET API to set up forms processing definitions, routines and output to seamlessly integrate and customize applications with the technology.

FormXtra Capture additionally offers a complete capture and recognition application that includes administration, workflows and data validation. It enables just a single field, or snippet in question, to be sent to keyers for confirmation, valuable in financial and healthcare industries, where information privacy is paramount.

Later this year, Parascript plans to continue unifying its product set with signature verification technology, useful for vote-by-mail, and other forms of transaction authorization. It also plans to add unstructured handwriting support to characterize, classify and route a document by key words predetermined by the user. FormXtra 5.3 and FormXtra Capture 5.3 will be available on June 30.
