Panel Intelligence Returns to MedPanel Name

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- (http://www.myprgenie.com) -- Panel Intelligence, LLC, is pleased to announce that it has changed its name back to MedPanel, LLC ("MedPanel"), the company's original name from its founding in 1999 until 2007. The MedPanel name has been restored to reflect the company's renewed, singular focus on the healthcare sector following its management buyout in 2009.

"We are excited and proud to be independent and focused in an industry that is increasingly dependent on third party, reliable, and actionable data," said Will Febbo, co-founder and CEO of MedPanel. "The last decade of experience has made us a solid partner with our clients and medical community. We look forward to further announcements in the coming weeks of additional services which leverage our core assets of a great team, broad client base, technology platform and medical community."

MedPanel completed its management buyout in early 2009 and retained all key people and clients in the process. "As we secured capital to buy back MedPanel in early 2009, it was clear we would need to focus on services which had more scale within the healthcare sector to drive up shareholder value and market relevance," continues Febbo. As a result, MedPanel spent considerable time in 2009 to develop such services and turned to industry veterans to form a strong Board of Directors. MedPanel's non-executive Chairman is Jim Lang and the other two independent Directors are Dr. Wally Buch and David Southwell. Their profiles are included on the website (www.medpanel.com). Both Febbo and MedPanel's COO, Howard Brick, also serve on the Board.<
