PSA Enters Into Business Alliance Agreement With Fisher Healthcare
Date:2/26/2009

FLORENCE, S.C., Feb. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Pathology Service Associates, LLC (PSA), a MED3OOO Company, the country's leading provider of revenue cycle management and other support services to independent pathologists across the United States, has entered into a Business Alliance Agreement with Fisher Healthcare, a part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc.

PSA's Business Alliance Program enables PSA-affiliated practices to purchase pathology equipment, supplies, and services at significantly discounted rates negotiated by PSA. Fisher's commitment to the Business Alliance Program will provide PSA's affiliated physicians with savings on purchases of laboratory equipment, chemicals and reagents, consumables, analytics, and other products for anatomic pathology laboratories. Fisher's business alliance agreement with PSA establishes a new level of partnership with PSA's affiliated practices.

"We are very pleased to add Fisher HealthCare to our select vendor list," said Laura Chaney, PSA Vice President of Operations. "The scope of products and discounts offered through the alliance with Fisher should enable a broad cross-section of practices to have access to meaningful savings. PSA's Business Alliance Program has long been an important underpinning of the practice support services PSA offers pathologists. Our mission is to support independent community-based pathology groups, and providing this type of program enables all of our affiliated physicians to level the playing field in terms of negotiating pricing and terms for laboratory supplies, equipment, and services. Through our program, PSA affiliates can save in excess of hundreds of thousands of dollars per year."

"Especially in this economy, we will encourage all of our affiliated practices to review the potential savings impact that can be provided to them through this new agreement with Fisher," stated Ms. Chaney.
