PHSI LLC Announces the Addition of New Technology from Audina Hearing Instruments

Physician Hearing Services, Inc., Improves Hearing Healthcare by Offering Latest Tuning Innovation

(PRWEB) May 11, 2010 -- PHSI – Physician Hearing Services, Inc., the acknowledged leader in “Hearing in Ophthalmology Programs”, has just announced that it will be implementing the latest technological advances from Audina® Hearing Instruments. Harnessing a specific tuning technology developed jointly by Audigence™, Inc., and the University of Florida, the flx® OTE/BTE family of products will be significantly improved. The Clarujust™ technology brings speech clarity to new heights for users of digital hearing devices, and now the specialists in PHSI’s network will offer these improved hearing aids.

PHSI understands the need for innovation in such a dynamic industry, and is proactive in making sure all of the ophthalmology hearing services offered by trained physicians are updated in their hearing aid technology. Clarujust™, an integrated fitting procedure included in Audina’s ezFIT programming software, utilizes natural speech sounds to program digital hearing instruments with active patient participation. Clarujust™ offers enhanced programming efficiency, saving time while improving fittings and speech understanding in quiet and noise environments.

During the fitting session with the patient, PHSI specialists issue a series of phoneme-based combinations (both soft and loud speech conditions) that are repeated by the patient, the results will be recorded and the software will adjust the settings. By repeating the process, the clinician may visually track the improvement in patient performance after each adjustment. An individualized report card is generated for each patient that explains their test results and provides strategies for further improvement.

Providing hearing healthcare has proven extremely beneficial to ophthalmology practices, and now patients will have another great option to improve their hearing and return to enjoying the audible world. We train vision professionals to provide the vision and hearing services and customer satisfaction that their communities deserve. The initial launch of Clarujust™ in the ezFIT software will be available with the flx OTE/BTE instruments and soon will be available on other Audina® hearing instruments
