New Thin Client PET/CT Viewer to Provide High Quality Viewing Capability on a Flexible yet Affordable Web Based Platform

Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) -- PETLinQ LLC, a leading radiology solutions provider, is proud to announce the release of its newest product innovation - SoftStationWeb - a pure thin client web based application created for the viewing of full PET/CT data sets with fused images, requiring only a secure password and login; no downloading of any kind is needed.

Harsha Hatti, PETLinQ’s President and CEO explains, “The need to provide fresh and innovative portable technologies is absolutely critical in driving the much needed efficiencies and access to real time information within healthcare today. PETLinQ intends to lead in this space by providing fresh and new solutions that deliver these efficiencies and access while effectively connecting the key stakeholders in radiology – the radiologist, the referring physician, the facility and the patient. “

SoftStationWeb offers a host of features that cater to the needs of these stakeholders. Referring physicians can have access to key reports and view full PET/CT studies via SoftStationWeb through their own referring physician portal. The referring physicians will have access to all the relevant tools, SUV/HU, axial, sagital, coronal data, triangulation, zooming, fusion blend and many other tools at their fingertips without the need to download cumbersome large data sets or client side software. With the use of this new technology, the need for burning PET/CT referring physician CDs with embedded viewers is eliminated. Now, automated text messages can be sent to the portals directly as reports are made available for review. Even patients will now have the ability via SoftStationWeb to access their private patient portal to view reports, images, status updates from their physicians, schedule their appointments online and pay their bills through the PETLinQ patient portal.

Robert Bridwell, MD, MBA, PETLinQ’s Chief Medical Officer reinforces his company’s focus, stating “PETLinQ believes the traditional ways of doing business in healthcare must change if healthcare is to change for the better. We will continue to challenge ourselves to think out of the box with break-through technologies that are sure to help revolutionize radiology. SoftStationWeb is just the beginning of a number of fresh and improved technologies to be launched by PETLinQ in the radiology space”.

In operation since 2004, PETLinQ has grown its products and services globally to include all DICOM modalities, a patent-pending interface engine, fully integrated end-to-end RIS/Billing/Collections applications for Windows and MAC platforms and ancillary product offerings, to name a few.

Those interested can see more of this revoluntary product at the June 13, 2009 Society of Nuclear Medicine Conference. For more information on SoftStationWeb and other PETLinQ products, visit www.petlinq.com.
