SEATTLE, March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Placing a "super-long coffee order," a quirky trait shared by many Northwest residents, will now make a difference for Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center.
Beginning March 21, PEMCO Insurance will donate $1 to Children's Hospital for every Tully's Coffee customer who nominates a preferred "super-long coffee order" -- those unique concoctions made up of seemingly incongruous ingredients and commands -- in weekly enter-to-win contests.
The contests are part of a six-week promotion between PEMCO Insurance and Tully's Coffee that highlights the "Super-Long Coffee Orderer" character from PEMCO's "We're A Lot Like You. A Little Different." ad campaign, which connects us as a community through tongue-in-cheek parodies of local residents' traits.
"We're excited to partner with Tully's Coffee to support Children's Hospital in its mission to prevent, treat, and eliminate pediatric disease," said PEMCO spokesperson Jon Osterberg. "Like PEMCO, Tully's is a locally based company, and this promotion is a great opportunity to extend many of our shared Northwest values."
In addition to helping raise money for Children's, those who nominate their "super-long" orders will have a chance each week to win a Tully's gift bag and $100 gift card compliments of Tully's. At the end of the six-week promotion, PEMCO will make a $10,000 donation to Children's Hospital in all six winners' names.
To kick off the promotion, KMTT "The Mountain" radio station (103.7 FM) will broadcast live from Tully's flagship store at 4th Avenue and Union Street in Seattle on Friday, March 21. During the 6 a.m. - 10 a.m. broadcast, participating Tully's stores will offer lattes for $1.03, and the first 103 customers to the flagship store can enjoy a latte for free.
"People around the Northwest are known as coffee lovers, and we're
individualistic," Osterberg said. "Often times our coffee orders express
our unique quirks.
