PBM Companies Partner with the Red Cross to Donate Infant Formula to China Earthquake Victims

GORDONSVILLE, Va., May 28 /PRNewswire/ -- PBM Holdings, Inc., a global supplier of infant formulas and nutritional products, announced today that its Chinese affiliate company, PBM (Guangzhou) Nutritionals Co., Ltd., has donated infant formula to victims of the China earthquake. PBM is partnering with the Shanghai Bureau of Civil Affairs and the Shanghai Red Cross, an affiliate of the Red Cross Society of China, to distribute Bright Beginnings(R) infant formulas to families in the earthquake-stricken areas of Sichuan.

"Our hearts and prayers go out to the victims of the Sichuan earthquake," said PBM CEO Paul B. Manning. "Thanks to the Shanghai Bureau of Civil Affairs, the Shanghai Red Cross, and our distribution points in Asia, we were able to respond to this natural disaster and ship our infant formulas directly to the affected region."

Bright Beginnings formulas are manufactured by PBM Nutritionals, LLC, in the U.S.A., in accordance with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations. PBM's factory is the only ISO 9001:2000-certified, infant formula-manufacturing facility in the United States, meaning it adheres to both FDA guidelines and a stringent set of quality-assurance regulations set by the International Organization for Standardization.
